Human Resources Administrator

The Human Resources Administrator is responsible for coordinating, implementing, communicating and maintaining multiple aspects of human resources activities related to recruitment, on-boarding, HR communications, and corporate events.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Manages the hiring of temporary employees, including reviewing resumes, conducting phone interviews, coordinating and scheduling all logistics for on-site and phone interviews, and communicating interview schedules and travel arrangements to candidates, interview teams, and vendors
Facilitates third party pre-employment reference checking process for full-time employees, and pre-employment background check process for temporary employees, interns, and co-ops: reviews and verifies information submitted by candidates into self-service portal, liaises with vendor and recruiter regarding additional information and/or alternate references, and provides recruiters with regular status updates
Prepares and maintains new hire kits, drafts new employee offer letters, secures departmental and senior management approvals, and sends out offer letters/new hire kits
Coordinates onboarding of new hires, including initiating new user forms, scheduling new hires' HR first day orientation, providing on-boarding checklists to hiring managers and department administrative assistants, and introducing Ardsley-based new hires to CEO
Partners with Corporate Communications, IT, and Facilities departments to coordinate logistics for Ardsley, Chelsea, and Waltham locations, and field-based associates for company-wide meetings, such as New Associate Orientation, Lunch and Learns, Snack and Learns, Service Award Dinner, All Acorda Updates, and other special events as needed
Partners with the Human Resources subject matter experts on projects that require writing, editing, or company-wide communication
Updates organization charts using Visio
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma (or GED) required.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Minimum five years' experience in HR administration.
Experience in biotechnology or pharmaceutical industries preferred.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Strong understanding of the day-to-day HR administration responsibilities required.
Computer Skills:
Must be proficient in MS Office Suite.
Knowledge of recruiting software and applicant tracking system required.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Performs duties independently in a highly dynamic fast-paced business environment.
Ability to multi-task, adjust priorities and work autonomously.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are required.
Ability to manage both day-to-day operations as well as project work in a fast-paced environment.
Able to work collaboratively in a self-managed environment.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
